The Big Picture: Ranveer Singh Shows His Emotional Side; Cries As He Hears A Contestant’s Story-WATCH Promo
Ranveer Singh made his TV debut with The Big Picture on October 16. In the second episode of the reality show, the audience will see Abhay Singh, a teacher from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, share his journey with Ranveer on stage. The contestant’s story appears to have deeply impacted the actor, as the new promo of the episode shows him teary-eyed.

In the promo, Abhay reveals how he lost his father at the tender age of 12. His father’s last dying wish was to ensure that Abhay took care of the family. Abhay’s hardships forced him to start teaching to make the ends meet.

“Mere papaji jab main seventh class mein thha tab unki death ho gayi. Main bahot chhota thha, aur uss time mujhe samajh nahin raha thha kya ho raha hai. Tabhi uss time par bharosa nahin ho raha thha kyunki kabhi aise death ko feel nahin kiya thha,” Abhay is seen elaborating in the recently shared promo.

“Kisi ke saamne ro nahin sakta thha, aur mummy ne bahot mehnat ki hai. Aur mere ghar par itne paise nahin thhay ki teenon bacche padh paayein,” he adds.

One can see Ranveer trying his best to control his emotions but he eventually breaks down and cries. The actor then speaks to his mother over a video call and showers praises on her son.

Deepika Padukone, Ranveer's wife, has always spoken highly of his emotional capabilities. And now to see an actor like him - known for his fun side - shed tears on national television is so heartwarming for viewers.

Talking of The Big Picture, it is India's first visual-based quiz show which will test the knowledge and visual memory of the contestants. The contestants will be provided with three lifelines - with the help of which they have to correctly answer 12 visual-based questions. The prize money on the show is Rs 5 crore.
